Dear Friends,

We were saddened to learn of the early loss of Otto Zieglmeier, IPMA Vice-President.
Otto was enthusiastic, active and dynamic in the project management professional community for many years and was well known among professional leaders in Germany, Europe, Asia and internationally as Project Excellence GURU - foremost International authority for the assessment process of the IPMA Project Excellence Award. Otto was initiator and promoter of the German and IPMA Project Excellence Award.
Otto played key role in development of National PE Awards in a lot of IPMA countries including Russia. Otto has also taken important part in the organization of the SOVNET International symposium in Nizhniy Novgorod at February 2007. SOVNET will also miss his close cooperation, strong support and profound wisdom in advice; however, just his passion for professional work is his legacy for us all to continue to establish Russian National PE Award and to involve Russian applicants in IPMA PE Award starting from this year.
Otto was our dear and faithful friend - his warm personality, energy, fondness and kindness are all sorely missed.
We express our heartfelt sympathy and deepest condolences to Otto's family, to our German friends and to IPMA ExBo, also on behalf of SOVNET, its members and from other Russian speaking MA: UPMA, KAZPMA, AZPMA and from all Otto friends of this part of our small world.
